We bake authentic sourdough bread the old way, using no commercial yeast
The sourdough process uses the natural yeast that is part of the ground wheat berry, which creates a tastier loaf that does not stale quickly. The long fermentation process also has the added benefit of being easier to digest. In fact, many gluten-sensitive people report that they can eat authentic sourdough bread with no ill effects.
Our bread begins with a healthy rye starter, and contains only unbleached, un-bromated and natural fresh-ground wheat flour, filtered water and sea salt.
We currently are baking Wednesday mornings, with local pickup Wednesdays 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Noorfleet's Farmer's Market in Aripeka, located at 221 Osowaw Blvd,. To ensure you don't miss out, you can prepay and reserve bread for pickup at the market by using the payment system on this website.
